Juenger, Annie

Annie Juenger will go down as one of the top all-around players to come through the Otterbein volleyball program. An outside hitter from Cincinnati, Juenger became part of four-straight NCAA Tournament qualifying teams from 2010-13 and helped win the program’s first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament Championship in 2012.

Due to Otterbein employing a 5-1 lineup around All-American setter Tabatha Piper, one player was needed to stay on the court all the way around the rotation. For four years, that player was Annie Juenger.

Juenger was a two-time All-OAC pick, including a unanimous selection to the first team as a senior after leading the conference in kills per set (3.76). Her impressive senior season also garnered all-region honors and ultimately culminated with honorable mention All-American honors from the AVCA.

Also a three-time academic all-conference pick, Juenger stayed sharp in the classroom and was named the OAC Scholar Athlete of the Month in November of her senior year. Her final academic accolade came with a first-team selection to the Capital One All-District team in 2013.

Juenger played in 125 of a possible 134 matches from start to finish, helping the Cardinals go an impressive 105-29 in the four-year span. She departed as one of just five players in program history to amass more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.
