Caldwell, Emily

Defensive specialist Emily Caldwell experienced a very successful career while at Otterbein,  becoming part of four-straight NCAA Tournament qualifying teams from 2010-13 and helping the program win its first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament Championship in 2012.

Caldwell took over at libero for All-American Lindsey Russell prior to her junior season, ultimately going on to amass 1,000 digs midway through her final campaign. A two-year captain, Caldwell posted a career-high 29 digs against Concordia-Moorhead as a junior en route to finishing eighth amongst OAC players in the category that season.

A nursing major from Cincinnati, Caldwell was even more impressive off the court by maintaining a near-perfect grade-point average and eventually finishing as a three-time Academic All-OAC selection. Her senior year culminated with a nod to the Capital One Academic All-America second team, becoming one of just 18 players across NCAA Division III to earn the recognition.

Caldwell played in 116 matches during her time in Westerville as the Cardinals played to a 105-29 record in the four-year span.
