Athletes of the Week

Bella Shivley
Women's Soccer

Shivley, a junior midfielder from DeSales, became the all-time leading scorer in women’s soccer while helping the team post a pair of dominating 5-0 wins.

Shivley finished the week with seven total points (2G, 3A), reaching 100 for her career and passing former standout Karen Beers atop the record list. She also broke her previous single-season record in goals and points, and remains top-five nationally in scoring, as the nationally-ranked Cards are 10-1-1 overall.

Emily Shuk

Shuk, a junior middle hitter from Tipp City, helped the volleyball team go 2-0 in league play with wins over Marietta and Baldwin Wallace. She hit an even .500 for the week, including a whopping stat line of 17-1-23 in the four-set win at BW.

Her .696 hitting percentage at BW marked the eighth-best for a single match in program history. The Cards are now 16-4 overall and 2-1 against the OAC.
