Certainly one of the finest short sprinters in the history of Otterbein, Dave Paul sits at the top of the top- 10 listings in the 100 yards/meters and ranks in the top-three in the 200 meters along with the 4 x 100m relay. He was a four-time individual Ohio Athletic Conference champion in the short sprint races (two indoor and two outdoor) and achieved All-American honors in both the 100 yards and the short relay. Dave also earned right All-OAC awards in the sprints during his career. Dave followed his brother, Gene, coming from Brookville, Ohio and helping establish Otterbein as one of the strongest sprint teams in the conference; giving the Cardinals a national reputation as well.
