Stobart, Steve

Steve Stobart capped an outstanding career at Otterbein in 1993, earning All-American honors with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA DIII national meet. Prior to that, Steve had compiled some impressive numbers in both track and cross-country during his four-year stint. He was a two-time individual champion in cross country and a six-time individual champ in track & field, which included winning the three longest events at the 1993 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) outdoor meet. He won the 10K on Friday evening and came back the next day to win the 3000m steeplechase and the 5K. Steve was also a key member of two OAC championship cross teams and the first ever men’s track team championship for Otterbein. He is still ranked second all-time in the steeplechase for Otterbein with a 9:05.45.
