Sandvik, Heather

BACK

Distance runner Heather Sandvik continued progressing in her sophomore season, running the 1,200-meter leg as part of the All-American distance-medley relay during indoor.

She paired with classmates Sarah Bedell, Katy Foltz and Claire Lamb to set a new school record at the Tufts Final Qualifying, and then ran the opening leg at the NCAA Indoor Championships to secure three-straight All-American awards. The DMR took fifth place in both 2017 and 2018, before jumping up a spot to fourth nationally in March of 2019.

Sandvik always carried that success into outdoor season, where the won three OAC steeplechase titles in a four-year span and capped her career on the national scene, qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 meters. She was also a member of four-straight OAC championship teams in the fall for cross country.
