Harrison, Jennifer
Although her stay in Westerville ended a year short, Jennifer Harrison remains one of just two Otterbein women’s basketball players to earn All-American status. Harrison was a three-year letterwinner from 1999-2002, carrying above a 3.0 grade-point average before leaving prior to her senior year. Jennifer started 35 games over her first two seasons, averaging 10.4 ppg. and 6.4 rpg. in the time span while ranking top-10 in the Ohio Athletic Conference for rebounding, free-throw percentage, and blocked shots. She was an All-OAC honorable mention pick as a sophomore.
Jennifer then had one of the best individual seasons in program history for the Cards during the 2001-02 campaign, earning OAC Player of the Year honors in helping the team advance to the semifinals of the league’s postseason tournament. She tallied 23 double-digit scoring games that season, capturing first team all-conference honors before third-team All-American recognition.
Otterbein never finished lower than fourth in the OAC standings during Harrison’s three seasons, going a combined 32-20 in league play. She shares the school-record for best field-goal percentage in a single game (8-for-8 against John Carroll) and nearly missed the 1,000-point plateau with 981 points over her three seasons.
