Brunoehler, Catherine
Catherine Brunoehler arrived on campus in the fall of 2007 and immediately began to impact the Otterbein women’s golf program on the national stage. Brunoehler earned first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) all four years, helping lead the Cardinals to OAC titles and three NCAA Championship berths in her first three seasons. She would go on to earn both All-American and Academic All-America accolades during her career.
A native of New Castle, Ind., she wrapped up her first season of collegiate competition with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Championships and earned honorable mention All-American honors after posting a stroke average of 81.
In 2009, she finished tied for second place at the OAC Championships and tied for ninth at the NCAA Championships, again garnering honorable mention All-American. For the second year in a row, her Cardinals finished in fifth at the NCAA’s.
Brunoehler posted eight top-10 finishes as a junior, including a tie for fourth at the OAC Championships and tie for 93rd at the NCAA Championships. She also earned a spot on the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women’s At-Large team. Brunoehler’s collegiate campaign concluded with her capturing medalist honors at the OAC Championships as a senior.
