Earl, Delaney

BACK

Delaney Earl enjoyed a memorable career from 2018-21, becoming a star forward on the soccer field and a standout performer in the classroom at the same time.

The Lewis Center native (Olentangy Orange) helped the Cardinals piece together an impressive 58-10-3 overall record during her four years, winning three Ohio Athletic Conference regular-season championships along the way. Earl was 4x All-OAC (three nods to the top team), 3x All-Region, 2x All-Ohio and a 2x OAC 'Forward of the Year as a junior/senior.

The skilled speedster began climbing the program record books right from the start, eventually departing second in most offensive categories; points (127), goals (50) and assists (27) while adding 10 game-winners. She assisted the deciding goal in the 2020-21 OAC Final, scored in the second half to beat Capital as a senior, and notched many other moments along the path.

Earl played in the 2018 NCAA Division III Championships with Otterbein, as the Cards hosted a regional at Memorial Stadium and made the Round of 32. She tallied the game-winner (79th minute) to advance past Dominican.

As a senior, Earl led the conference and ranked top-25 nationally most of the year in scoring... later settling with 39 points on 16 goals and seven assists. Those efforts led to a FIRST TEAM All-American award from the United Soccer Coaches, becoming just the seventh player in program history to garner the status.

Away from the pitch, Earl maintained above a 3.75 GPA as a double major in business adminstration and marketing. She was 3x Academic All-OAC, 2x Academic All-District and a 2x CoSIDA Academic All-American.
