Craycraft, Carlie
Setter Carlie Craycraft delivered a standout career for the volleyball program, taking the reins from day one and running the show as a four-year starter.
By the time it was all said and done, Craycraft departed as the program’s all-time leader in assists (4,255) and also ranked eighth in Ohio Athletic Conference history. She was named 2021 OAC Player of the Year, the first setter in 15 years to claim the award outright.
At one point along the journey, Otterbein won a staggering 48 sets in a row as part of a school record 19-match winning streak. Craycraft was ultimately voted first team All-Region and second team AVCA All-America.
She and classmate Amber Greeley helped lift the Cardinals into a combined 92-22 record during their stay, featuring three NCAA Championship appearances and three OAC titles. The 2021 team advanced all the way to the NCAA Sweet 16, further than any other flock of Cardinals.
An allied health major, Craycraft also maintained a dean’s list GPA in the classroom to earn multiple academic awards at the conference and regional level. She punctuated her time as a 2023 OAC Clyde Lamb recipient, distributed annually to the top male/female student-athlete at each conference institution.
