Hartman, Morgan

Morgan Hartman delivered a standout four-year career for Otterbein on the volleyball court from 2020-23, landing OAC Freshman of the Year during her inaugural season and later culminating the journey with third team AVCA All-American status.

The dynamic and versatile outside hitter became a 3x All-American in the process, landing a pair of repeat spots on the honorable mention team before breaking through to make the prestigious/official list of 42 as a senior.

Hartman was a 4x first team All-OAC and 3x first team All-Region selection, earning OAC Player of the Year distinction as a senior after once again leading the league (and ranking Top-25 nationally) with 428 total kills.

She finished third all-time in school history with 1,475 kills while playing all six rotations, eventually posting career marks of 956 digs and 136 service aces (fifth at Otterbein upon graduation).

Hartman and her classmates helped Otterbein turn in a combined 89-24 record during their four years, winning three OAC Tournaments and making a trio of appearances in the NCAA Division III Championships. Her 2021 squad advanced to the Sweet 16 before coming up just short to eventual national runner-up Calvin.

“Mo” put away championship points as a freshman and junior to highlight postseason runs through the league bracket, making the All-Tournament Team both times. As a senior, her 2023 club became the first in program history to go undefeated against the OAC after a perfect 9-0 in the regular season.

In addition to her on-court success, Hartman also maintained a stellar GPA in the classroom as an allied health major. She frequented the Dean’s List and racked up multiple academic honors at the conference/district levels.
