Alysha Gossel was among the early pole vaulters in Otterbein history and helped establish a tradition that still continues today. She currently holds the school record with a vault of 12 feet even and won the individual Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) title on five different occasions, three indoors and two outdoors. The pinnacle of her career came in 2006 when she qualified for the NCAA Championships and finished sixth to garner All-American honors. Alysha was a key contributor to the 2004 OAC championship teams, both indoor and outdoor.
