Roush, Edwin "Dubbs"

BACK

It is safe to say that Dubbs Roush has done it all. From leading the 1946 football team as quarterback and captain to their first OAC championship, to starting the “O” Club and serving as its first president, to even serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Otterbein, there is nothing Dubbs has not accomplished at Otterbein. As a result, he has been given great recognition for these accomplishments, including the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1988, the Distinguished Service Award in 1978, and the Honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree in 1982. What he has received, however, does not compare with what he has given back to the College. He, and his wife, Mary Lou, gave the lead gift to establish Roush Hall in the early 1990’s, are 43-year donors, and have given substantial amounts of money toward the Clements Recreation Center, the “O” Club Foundation, and many other athletic endeavors.
