Andy Johnson became the second of three high jump All-Americans at Otterbein with his sixth-place finish in 1999 at the NCAA Indoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Northern. Later, Andy would coach another high jump All-American (Bill Myers) and continues to volunteer as Otterbein’s high jump coach. Andy was never lower than fifth in his eight conference championship appearances, finishing second four times to earn all-conference honors five times in all. He currently holds the Otterbein school record in the high jump with a leap of 6-10 ¾ .
