Hagquist, Rob

Rob Hagquist was a runner who really blossomed at the college level, probably exceeding original expectations coming out of high school. After a bit of a slow start his freshman year, Rob earned all-conference and all-region his last three seasons of XC, culminating with a 25th-place finish in the national meet his senior year to earn All-American honors. He was the one of the top runners on two conference championship teams in 1992 and 1994. Rob excelled as well on the track, winning four individual titles in the 5K where he was rarely favored to win. He incorporated a bold racing style, challenging his competitors with a strong surge mid-race that no one wanted to match. Rob has gone on to a successful career as a police officer.
